the weekend

friday 9/30: dinner with jamie. out with prarthna, jamie and his friends at lotus until 4:30 am. we are booted from one table to another because e-list celebrities (i.e. totally unfamous and unrecognizable people) are on their way. jamie's friend was a little upset and sprayed champagne all over the wall behind our table in protest, but we didn't get kicked out. in fact, they brought out more fruit and drinks. best of all, i didn't have to do a single shot of anything.

saturday 10/1: sleep until 2:00 pm (amazing). haircut in soho at 4:00 pm. dinner at republic at union square. jamie and i meet andrew at ace bar. andrew is nicely drunk and very entertaining.

sunday 10/2: wake up at 7:00 am (painful) to go downtown to volunteer for avon walk for breast cancer. am assigned to check-in volunteers (pass out t-shirts, check in lists) with 3 middle-aged/older women who talk about their kids, cheer on all of the walkers, and make sure i have enough to eat and drink while we're working, it's like having three moms for seven hours straight. they were great. touching experience. it feels good to lend your time to a cause, even if it's in a small way.

monday 10/3: at work, but definitely not really working. at all.
