my dad is obsessed with this bon pere schnapps stuff, and every time we host guests at the house they are subject to a taste and a lecture/quiz on the history of the bottle and the making of the pear schnapps. i've resisted it for so many years, but yesterday i tried it for the first time. these are the "shot glasses" it was served in (they look like mini cheese fondue pots; they're part of a matching fondue set, go figure). i only managed to get down 1/2 the shot. it burned.
