my new year's eves have always been lackluster in the past (watching the ball drop on tv with dad, going to bed at 11:45, spending $75 on a not so open bar at a trashy club), so i fled new york for california this year, which was definitely a good idea. here we are at a pre-party, eventually we moved on to a bar, then on to a cab ride home, and finally - well, no matter what coast i'm on, i'm still a lightweight. clara summed it up the best: "i am sure it was painful to boot 3x in the first hours of 2006, but what a dramatically unforgettable way to ring in the new year, right?"
