April!

phew, here's april:

4/2 - daria and i attend the grand opening of the new dave and buster's in times square, an "industry party" - the only "industry party" i've ever been to and probably the only one i will ever go to. ever.

4/8 - prarthna, liesl, and i go to the "the big sip" - a fundraiser benefiting the development of nicaraguan housing. we end up at brother jimmy's on the east side, where we eat wings and spicy fries and chat with a swiss guy who asks for my number but decides he doesn't want it after i tell him i'm not single. interesting.

4/9 - nikki and i hit PS1 (the art museum in an old school building) in queens.

4/13 - dinner with julia and adele results in a stop at the rhett miller concert. rhett has fantastic hair.

4/14 - jamie visit #1: we meet at Hudson Bar, i almost lose my keys near columbus circle in the rain (!), just in time to make our dinner reservations at PUBLIC.

4/15 - out on the town with PJ and Ahmed at PM (see photos below).

4/16 - easter sunday lunch with my family in scarsdale. dad introduces jamie to the fine art of aperitifs and obscene mormon jokes. i decide we must depart immediately.

4/18 - daria's "tipsy tuesday" at pat o'brien's. good times.

4/21 - prarthna and i do dinner and see "thank you for smoking," we're both home by midnight and lamenting how old we feel because we don't have the energy to "go out" on friday nights anymore.

4/28 - jamie visit #2: drinks with reinsurance people. they are fun.

4/29 - diamonds after dark fundraiser. jamie, his friends, and i get dolled up and head to the ritz in battery park. drinking for a good cause. on to post party at lotus.

4/30 - brunch with nikki at Jane. jamie buys jeans, jamie buys wine, jamie buys wine glasses (because we'd be drinking out of IKEA water glasses if it were up to me). we all drink the wine.

god, april makes me sound like an alcoholic. until may ...
