no subject

it happened last week:

bedbugs - i got a notice from my building management company around midnight that read something like, "... found minor outbreak in an apartment near yours ... please pack up everything you own in a plastic bag by tomorrow morning ..." - it was traumatic and gross and everyone at work thought i had cooties. good news is i now own a vacuum cleaner.

minnesota - i took northwest airlines to minneapolis. my first ever visit to minnesota. jamie is there for work. the visit included the mall of america, bars with rooftops, long cab rides, quiet (as in, no sounds or noises), nice old people, the walker art center, a reunion with quinn from college, half an irish car bomb that made me ill (thanks, quinn), an unsuccessful hunt for indian food, warmer weather than new york (!).
